We saw a huge amount of this businesses tote bags being paraded around the Brisbane Wedding Fair by our guests. They were truly a big hit and had pleasant personalities to match.

The Little Flower Company is anything but little as their name suggests. This team has big ideas and can pull them off with ease. They truly know how to style flowers and can make the most wonderful combinations that you have never thought of before.

TWIG & GRACE

We have worked on the Sunshine Coast with Twig & Grace at our last wedding fair and we are always and i mean ALWAYS bowled over with the amazing display of overflowing blooms that they rock up with at our fairs. Carefully styled and presented, it’s like your grandma’s garden is in full bloom and takes you back to the good old days when you roamed through it smelling and touching every piece of foliage.

MIRRA PRIVATE DINING AND EVENTS

Mirra is a converted warehouse that has been transformed to create a stunning venue where Paris meets Shanghai; where high warehouse ceilings covered in hand-painted canvasses are littered with tiered chandeliers; where detailed bronze French doors open to a private courtyard perfect for pre or post drinks.

It’s a unique combination of design and functionality and its flexible space can comfortably seat from 20 – 260 banquet style or 50 – 450 standing.

It oozes character and we LOVE the raw and gorgeous styling that this venue lends itself to.

THE LOFT WEST END

We were so excited when we found these guys and their uber cool, inner-city venue.

The Loft is funky, fresh and found in the very hip West End in Brisbane.  The style of this venue suits A Darling Affair perfectly and offers the perfect backdrop for your unique and FUN wedding celebrations.

THE GARDENS CLUB

The Garden’s Club is one of Brisbane’s newest and unique cafes and event spaces.   The grounds at The Gardens Club are just BEAUTIFUL.  Think gorgeous views, restored buildings and meticulous manicured gardens.

For those of you who regularly follow A Darling Affair, you’ll know that we are all self confessed stationery addicts.   There is just something about that crisp, fresh papery goodness that gets us every time.   The prints, the foils, the invites, the calligraphy, the hand-drawn illustrations – we love it ALL.

We had some incredible Stationer’s displaying their goods at our Brisbane Fair and some of you took advantage of the opportunity to buy some of their prints and take them home to pretty-up your walls (we are also guilty of this… our walls are so much lovelier thanks to our stationers!).

CHASE THE SUN DESIGNS

Justine from Chase The Sun Designs set up a BEAUTIFUL stall just inside the doors in Studio One.  She is a calligrapher, specialising in modern calligraphy & chalkboard lettering art, event stationery designer, and all round crafty and very lovely person.

She did an incredible job bringing her stall to life and it got lots of attention from Brides and Grooms on the day of the fair.  Check out some of the pics below.

WITH LOVE STATIONERY AND DESIGN

Jackie from With Love SD is someone we LOVE seeing at our fairs.  She is happy, relaxed, artistic, creative and always has a beautiful smile for us.  Her range of ready-made and custom designed wedding stationery always makes us stop in our tracks… we usually spend a good part of our day at her stall figuring out which pieces we want to buy and take home with us…

Jackie put together a gorgeous stall in Studio Two on the day of our fair and we love looking back at these images and remembering all the prettiness brought to life…

PEACHY FLAMINGO

Oh my goodness we LOVE Kylie and her range of awesome tote bags and screen printed goodness… We’ve commissioned her in the past to help with our own A Darling Affair tote bags and one of our Darling’s also purchased a Bridal Range from her to gift her Bridesmaids at her own wedding.

She is a creative genius and all of her totes are handmade and unique and beautiful.  But guys she doesn’t just make sweet totes and screen prints, she is also insanely talented and creates the most beautiful stationery and invitation ranges too… definitely worth checking out her website!

There is literally one vendor that you cannot get married without… a Celebrant!  And we think you shouldn’t just pick any old Celebrant who has probably done thousands of ceremonies (after a while, they all start to look a little the same), but rather, pick a Celebrant who has style and spark and wants to help make your ceremony a UNIQUE celebration of you guys.

She is young and vibrant and loves to craft and tell a unique story for each of her couples.   Your wedding ceremony will most certainly NOT be like any others that you have seen before.

She also puts together awesome stalls and we loved what she created at our Brisbane fair!

WEDDINGS BY POPULAR DEMAND

Alana is such a cool cat – we loved having her as a part of our A Darling Affair family and we think you’re probably going to love having her as your Celebrant.

She loves cake (don’t we all!?), fun parties, twinkling lights, daggy dancing, amazing frocks and hanging with equally cool and lovely people.  She’s young, fresh and has unique ideas.  She’s also funny, entertaining, upbeat, well spoken and obsessively enthusiastic about weddings.

So you can see why we love her so much!

BRISBANE MARRIAGE CELEBRANTS

These ladies are a super team of four taking weddings ceremonies by storm.  Ketrina, Krista, Natasha and Renee are offering Brisbane Brides a super easy way to find a Celebrant.  By joining forces you have got four of the most lovely ladies to choose from.

They each pride themselves on delivering creative, fun, personalised and stylish wedding ceremonies that are NEVER boring.  They have experience and know what works (and what doesn’t)… this is invaluable!

We are stoked to bring you the final instalment in our Photography wrap up blog posts from our Brisbane Fair.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been telling you guys how important it is to do your homework and find a photographer who has a style that you fall in love with on first sight.  But also, just as important, that photographer needs to follow up their incredible style with a fun-loving and down to earth personality so that you feel super comfortable and happy in front of the camera on your big day.

It’s a tough gig trying to find the perfect photographer but we’ve whittled it down to some of Brisbane’s best for you guys and we had them all at our fair!

RYDER EVANS

We’re not sure what we love most about Ryder… his infectious smile, laugh and personality, or his incredibly beautiful and candid photography style.

His photos are joyful and spontaneous.  There are no orchestrated scenes and no cheesy poses.  He is a master at capturing those moments in the day that you might not even realise or remember happening.

Ryder was actually a musician in a past life (before he discovered his love for photography) so that artistic vibe runs deep in his veins and we love it.

CASSANDRA LADRU PHOTOGRAPHY

If you’re looking for a lovely, down to earth photographer with a unique eye for beautiful details then look no further.

We love the style of photography favoured by Cassandra and especially find ourselves drooling over her black and white images.  They are seriously swoon worthy.   She has travelled the world capturing images and telling people’s stories and she is a level 10 expert in capturing real emotions & all of those raw & intimate moments.

STUDIO SIXTY PHOTOGRAPHY

Jason and Sally from Studio Sixty have been a part of the A Darling Affair family for a little while now and we just love their creative, natural and candid photographs.

They are a fun loving husband and wife team and when they’re not taking gorgeous wedding images you’ll probably find them off bike riding, eating good food or playing with their adorable dog Crinkle (just check out their instagram page and you’ll see what I mean about Crinkle).

These guys also make gorgeous albums with all those images captured on your big day – we’ve seen their albums and trust us, they are gorgeous!

A Darling Affair Brisbane surely had loads and loads of floral creations to be inspired by. It was like your Grandma’s garden had exploded and was in full bloom. It was absolutely stunning.

Our florists really put on a show at the fair and there were even flowers that we had never seen before and displayed in the most unique way.

You will just love these wrap up images and we hope it inspires you to think outside the box and hook up with one of these creatives to transform your wedding day blooms into something beautiful rather than the traditional bouquet. Get creative! There’s magic waiting out there waiting to happen you just need to use your imagination and and a florist to bring it to life.

PRIMULA FLORAL STYLING

We just simply can’t get enough of Primula Floral Styling. Eliza the creative genius and brains behind the business traveled across the US of A, and picked up some very cool influences and ideas and it has flowed over into the way that she approached her floral styling.

Romantic, beautiful, free flowing, soft, rich, full of movement and texture. Eliza does not create an uptight stiff bouquet but one that wanders and leaves itself feel like the life has never been cut out of a flower.

We think her creations are magical and if you go and check out her website you will understand what we mean. If you want passion in your floral arrangements then Eliza is your lady.

WEDDING FLOWERS & COFFEE CUPS

Well weren’t these lovely ladies a hidden gem! They created a bed of flowers and gosh did it look inviting enough to take a nap on and dream that you were a princess waiting for her prince charming to wake you up – but i’m sure all you gorgeous brides-to-be have already found your prince.

This design shows the creativity exploding from these ladies and they have wonderful personalities to match. They are ever helpful even with reaching out to many of our other vendors at the fair and adding a touch of floral class to their set ups.

We can’t wait to work with them again, and seriously you shouldn’t either. It the heat of the summer day at the fair they were all smiles and were so friendly to all our lovely guests. You want to have a florist that listens to what you want and the team behind Wedding Flowers & Coffee Cups surely does.

LEAF BY YENTL

What a gorgeous outdoor table setting Leaf by Yentl created out on the lawns at the fair. Draping flower garlands, a hanging greenery installation and rich bold colourful flowers to match on the table.

Yentl gave you a taste of what she can do by the way of carrying a theme from the decorating to the dinner table and tie it in all together. Just like her arrangements, she is very calm, and relaxed. So if you want a florist who isn’t going to stress you out with your wedding day preparations Yentl is the lady for you.
