Get ready! Tomorrow is the big day! The Sunshine Coast Wedding Fair is one sleep away!

Close your eyes and dream of wedding inspiration and wedding suppliers that will make you grin from ear to ear. Then wake up, shower, dress in comfy clothes, grab your partner, bridal party, mum and Gran and head to The Chapel Woombye any time from 10am – 3pm.

3. 12:30 – FASHION PARADE – ONE TIME ONLY – Smack bang in the middle of the day. Grab some food and sit under Tipi LUXE‘s Tipi to watch the Fashion Parade put together by the head of our fashion team – Khesanh from The Beauty Case.

4. 2PM – Mini Workshop – by Coco Bride – How to create Sensational Stationery – for all the creatives out there!

I am a sucker for a good romantic film – my husband likes all the action type movies – so when i find a good wedding film supplier i don’t just watch one film. I usually sit in front of the computer and watch several with a snack, just like the movies.

This is what your wedding day film should be like. Not something that is saved on to a disk and watched once. It’s something that is to be watched over and over again to remind you of your commitment to your spouse on your wedding day and help you to re-commit your love to them each time you watch it.

Now these two companies and some of my favourite finds for the upcoming Gold Coast Wedding Festival this weekend. So much passion and drive oozing from their websites and social media pages that i can’t wait to see what they have in store for you on Fri-YAY night!

GOLDBEAR WEDDING FILMS

Mike and Rich are mates, they have been forever. They have been putting their hand to creative projects for as long as they can remember, everything from painting murals & making websites to playing in bands (Mike did a 4 week tour when he was 16! getting snuck in the back door of venues to play). When they found themselves filming weddings for friends something clicked, and a long way down the track here they are… letting the BEAR roam.

GOLDBEAR creates narrative based wedding films. Artfully shot, creatively driven, to reflect a moment in time and making it last forever.
Their style is described as ‘loose and relaxed’. Rich says, ‘Cheezy wedding vids are just bad, so we take a filmic approach, looking for moments of colour, tone and real personality’.

They view a wedding video more like a partnership between you and them! Which basically means they like the couple to be a part of developing the creative approach, deciding on tone and mood, cool ideas to include etc. They have even structured the packages on offer to help couples feel more in control of their film and create a unique end product that reflects them.

Minimal Stress Wedding Services on the Sunshine Coast

When we had planned our wedding we wish we had met these ladies and used their services.

Wild Heart Weddings would have made our wedding planning a breeze whilst we were both working full time and our lovely and supportive parents ran around checking out venues, caterers etc etc for us (you know the long list of wedding preparations and things to do that doesn’t seem to end). Bless their souls.

Emma from Wild Heart Weddings has all the information you need for a well run, organised and minimal stress wedding on the Sunshine Coast. She knows things about the coast and it’s suppliers that will save you many hours of searching on your own.

We also had quite a few nieces and nephews attend our wedding. Coming from a family of 5 and my husband from a family of 7. The children did their best to entertain themselves with the ribbons off the favour boxes and guessing what colour clinker they were going to get next. Miss Poppins Nanny & Babysitting Agency would have made the wedding a big hit with the kids and our family from the stress of keeping the kiddies entertained.

These services are so unique and they LOVE what they do. Like really LOVE it.

At A Darling Affair HQ we take music very seriously and KNOW that is a big contributing factor to any event to keep it flowing rather than hearing the crickets chirping and awkward silences between guests.

J&R Music and Love Note surely wet our appetite playing some sweet tunes at The Wedding Fair.These music acts are soooo lovely, fun, vibrant and extremely talented. We really can’t stop raving about them. So we won’t:

Jess and Ryan from J&R Music are a real life couple who radiate love, warmth and fun. They performed at When Elephant Met Zebra’s wedding (the photographer who took our event photos below) and it’s like a sweet reunion at every wedding fair.

Love Note’s Angela is small in stature but belts out the most amazing vocals that she ALWAYS has heads turning in the crowd. She even had Hello May asking after her. Angela is one of our Sunshine Coast wedding fair’s committed return vendors and we just love her to bits.

So if you are after live music performers don’t hesitate to check out these amazing musicians.

At the Wedding Fair we had two gorgeous venues on display. One was The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast and the other was The Chapel Woombye where the event was held.

The A Darling Affair team has worked with both locations doing stunning styled promo shoots and we love their uniqueness and nooks and cranny’s that gives you amazing backdrops for your wedding day photo’s. When Elephant Met Zebra did our last promo shoot at The Chapel and took these gorgeous pictures below.

If you were at our recent Sunshine Coast Fair then you would have noticed that beautiful fresh scent wafting through the chapel, the hall and the marquee. You can thank our incredibly talented florists for creating that gorgeous smelling atmosphere on the day. These guys are up before the sun most days at flower markets selecting the best of the best to make sure their Brides are receiving top quality flowers and a big bang for their buck. Personally speaking, flowers were my big splurge for our wedding… I justified that by telling my husband-to-be that this would be our only wedding and the one day of my life that I am allowed to go a bit berserk with flowers, it was my one chance to fill our entire house for the week following with amazing, beautiful smelling flowers that made me happy every time I looked at them. It worked and I got to fill up our wedding (and house) with flowers. I can still remember the smell.

If you need a florist then PLEASE just book one of these guys. You will be amazed with their creative flair and attention to detail. We love them and we know you will too.

There are SO many options out there these days when it comes to styling your wedding. Gone are the days of chair covers and sashes and mirror base decorations (phew!). The sky is the limit these days and you are only restricted by your imagination. Stylists today are creative and passionate about making your wedding day a reflection of who you are as a couple… you can incorporate your interests into your styling and give your guests a little insight into the life of you and your brand spanking new official partner in life and crime.
