FLORIDO WEDDINGS

Photography has been the main passion in Callie’s life (after wine) for about the last 7 years. Studying photography at the Queensland College of Arts and did majoring in photojournalism,  Callie is also a cliche extrovert, so weddings are the perfect platform for her to mix her love for meeting new people and documentary photography. Callie’s loves are people, photos and parties, so you can’t get much better than weddings to cover all those things.

Florido Weddings provides documentary photography and videography. The videographers I work with all have a really similar style to Callie and they all have backgrounds in documentary and commercial shooting. They are all about having a good time and making things as stress free as possible.

Callie is a documentary photographer first and foremost but also has a background in commercial and fashion, so giving people direction in front of the camera is a big part of what she does. Most people want natural photos but they still get nervous in front of a camera. Creating ‘natural’ moments requires a delicate balance of direction, spontaneity and creativity, something that Callie has been practicing years to get right.
