DARLING DRESS DESIGNERS

We are so excited to welcome back some fantastic and talented women who create the most wonderful dream dresses for your wedding day.

These designers have won awards, had their dresses on TV commercials and are shown in local and national magazines. They are equally beautiful in nature as the gowns they personally design for you and put a whole lot of heart and love into every stitch they sew.

You will meet and see all 3 designers at The Brisbane Wedding Fair with their gowns on display and parading down the catwalk.

JENNIFER GIFFORD DESIGNS

Jennifer Gifford is so talented in her approach to dress designing that but every time you chat to her, her eyes light up with excitement if it involves anything to do with being creative. We have worked closely with Jennifer and love getting sneak peeks of her upcoming ranges. She is also the brains behind one of our major sponsors The Brides Market.

Jennifer loves creating beautiful gowns for beautiful girls preparing for the biggest day of their lives. Each gown is a stunning handmade bridal gown with classic silhouettes, using beautiful french laces, tulles and silk.

BEGITTA – BRIDAL AND COUTURE

Designer Begitta Stolk is known for her distinct style of couture construction, working with her signature draping and hand finishings she steps out of the ‘box’ and into a wonderland of glorious devotion and love to the world of couture.

When we say a ‘wonderland’ we mean what ever you can imagine Begitta can create. Custom made with love for you the bride to be.

ANNA DUTTON COUTURE

Anna Dutton began her business professionally at 15 after being taught to sew from a very young age by her mother who was a well known bridal couturier for over 40 years.

She always loves the squeals of joy from brides to be who pick up their completed bridal gowns whom she has worked with from sketching a design concept, to fittings right through to being there to dress the bride on the day! This amazing journey is why Anna love’s her job so much!

Anna pride’s her business on great customer service and her unique product. Anna doesn’t follow trends but rather her creative vision, every gown evolves from inspiration which can be from so many things, but her favourite inspiration is exquisite fabrics and embellishments.

Anna encourages all brides to be to have the gown of their dreams while providing gentle guidance.

The sweet fragrance and gorgeous pops of colours of flowers really does add to the glow of any blushing bride on their wedding day.

We have some of the most creative floral designers in Brisbane town that will arrange a glorious headpiece, bouquet, back drop or freshly picked table settings for your wedding day that will have you smiling from ear to ear.

Eliza, of Primula Floral Styling, recognized from an early age the power of a message conveyed by flowers. Growing up surrounded by a wild, abundant garden, Eliza was always attracted to nature, and liked the idea of working with flowers – but it wasn’t until a few years ago, when I discovered the vibrant event flower scene of NYC, that she decided to pursue it and saw how flowers lent such endless magic to an occasion.

The drama of NYC’s renaissance-style flowers certainly returned with Eliza from her travels, and continues to live on in the arrangements she makes; using high-quality, preferably local, seasonal flowers. Adding foraged branches, blooms and foliage that evoke a sense of wild wonder akin to stumbling across a hidden garden.

Luscious, loose and romantic is how to describe Primula Floral Styling. With arrangements that pay reverence to the natural grace and beauty of flowers, Primula arrangements are rich and evocative, brimming with texture and alive with movement.

Who doesn’t love a good photo booth at a wedding!? They create an electric and super fun atmosphere and really help to get your guests unwinding and having a great time. Plus as an added bonus you get yourselves a copy of all the hilarious photos that have been taken in the booth that night. It’s a no brainer for us – we LOVE photo booths and take every opportunity we get to stick our heads in there and get some printed photos as a keepsake.

THE PHOTO BOOTH GUYS

The Photo Booth Guys provide the most awesome photo booth experience with fresh backdrops, kickass props, amazing customer service and quality in absolutely everything they do…who doesn’t want that?! Their booths all have their own hilarious personalities and love to be the life of the party.

Their first ever photo booth was Max Power… a new take on the classic photo booth. From there, the path to world domination was set by adding Betty B, John Wilkes and Walt Jnr along with their English cousins Patty, Selma and Max Jnr. The Photo Booth Guys are now in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and London.

THE PHOTO BOOTH COLLECTIVE

The Photo Booth Collective is a newbie on the photo booth scene! It’s the brain child of super amazing photographers When Elephant Met Zebra (so you just know these images are going to be amazing quality!).

These guys provide super fun, stylish, fully open air photo booths for your next event. Their range of backdrops and props is also freakin amazing – trust us you will love them!

FLASHPOD PHOTO BOOTH

Flashpod Photo Booth is a husband and wife team and was born from a desire to create a sophisticated and sleek photo booth in an ingenious curved design. They wanted to create something that would fit elegantly within the surroundings of the gorgeous venues in Brisbane and beyond – and we think they nailed it!

These guys offer unlimited (and customised!) instant prints, guest book options, colour and B&W photos, props, social media integration, array of backgrounds, live view slide show and a USB of all images (oh, and the best darn photo booth attendants from here to Tumbuctoo!).

Sometimes we come across a vendor who is so truly unique that we just can’t fit them in to any kind of mould. For our Brisbane Fair, we have found three of the most wonderfully creative and fresh speciality vendors who all offer something incredibly beautiful and unique.

We can’t wait for you to meet them at the fair but for now, let us happily introduce them to you…

VESSEL AND VINE

Brooke from Vessel and Vine has always been a maker of “things”. She studied interior design and has a special love of gardening, so when those two worlds combined – Vessel and Vine was born!

Vessel and Vine offer handmade vessels to use as tea lights and place settings. They are made using modern cement and can be tinted to any colour to match the styling and decor of your home or event. They are super versatile and can be used on tables to display names or offered as favours for guests. We love these little vessels and will definitely be stocking up on some for our homes!!

GOLD WEDDING HIRE

Tash is the mastermind behind Gold Wedding Hire and she brings something totally new and unique to the wedding industry. Inspired by the gold styling trends taking the world by storm, she realised that golden cutlery wasn’t available for hire in Australia so she decided to take on the task herself!

Gold Wedding Hire currently offer four exquisite collections varying in style, with three gold options: yellow gold, rose gold and copper gold. But keep your eyes peeled! Tash plans on extending her range to include gold decor in the near future!

FAIR LIGHT BLESSED

Danielle began Fair Light Blessed originally as a marketeer selling a variety of indoor herbs and succulent gardens, however she was soon inundated with orders for succulent wedding favours and decided to go full time wedding. Once she began she became completely obsessed with weddings and was able to transform her passion for gardening into a legitimate business.

Fair Light Blessed offers custom ordered succulent and organic herb wedding favours. Each order is completely unique to suit their bride and groom’s personality, wedding theme and colours. As well as favours they will soon be launching a small range of hire items including their very cool 53cm tall succulent monograms spelling “LOVE”.

We are the first to admit our sometimes unhealthy addiction to stationery. It’s so beautiful and precise and don’t you just love the feel of gorgeous paper and card between your fingers!?

Luckily we’ve sourced some of the best to display their finest wares at our Brisbane Fair. We’re excited to introduce you to some of them right now!

BLUSHING CONFETTI

Ellen is self confessed paper addict (especially of the confetti kind). After getting married in 2013, she knew she had found her calling of creating beautiful stationery. She fell in love with the simplicity and nostalgia of printing techniques and wanted to bring some love back to this art form.

Blushing Confetti offer bespoke wedding stationery, wooden stamps, art prints and other papery goodness. They are known for their design aesthetic of bold but simple designs. They are perfectionists, lovers of detail and believers in quality over quantity. The best part of all? They promise lots of confetti. And we love confetti.

ELLY HARTLEY DESIGNS

Elly is a relative newcomer to the Wedding Industry having just launched Elly Hartley Designs in 2014. In that short time she has already been nominated as an Etsy Design Awards Finalist for “New Talent”, so we knew we just had to snap up this new talent for our fair.

Elly doesn’t follow trends, she creates what she thinks is beautiful and hopes that others find it beautiful too. She prides herself on offering high quality designs to suit every budget and is just about as lovely as they come!

CHASE THE SUN DESIGNS

Justine from Chase The Sun Designs has ALWAYS been passionate about beautiful stationery, lettering and design. She bought her first pen and ink pot in 2011 and has been madly in love ever since.

Chase The Sun Designs offers bespoke calligraphy for all stationery requirements along with chalkboard and other signage. Each design is a special, one of a kind piece crafted with love and fun!

Tricia starting taking photos 20 years ago! She can’t help but see the world through a view finder. Somehow, she even managed to photograph her own wedding!

Judd has always loved two things; photography and watching people’s dreams come true. He now takes photos of awesome people on the day their dreams come true – talk about finding the perfect job!

Just in case you missed it on Hello May we decided to give you another peek at the gorgeous Summer Wedding inspiration shoot that we put together with a talented team of wedding professionals located in the Brisbane region.

Brian from When Elephant Met Zebra captured the images perfectly and is a master behind the camera.

Hope and Lace Wedding Planning & Events put together this whimsical garden fresh bouquet full of blooms of every description. Coupled with the flawless makeup and hair by Khesahn from The Beauty Case and her delightful team. Our model’s lips were matched with the colour of the poppy bright roses in the bouquet.

Now you can’t do a bridal wedding shoot without a awesome suit and a gorgeous dress. So the creative geniuses that we love working with who have passion and drive for their craft are Urbbana – men’s suits and Jennifer Gifford Designs.
