In our opinion, a key difference between a nice wedding and a fantastic wedding, is some great music for everyone to party-on-down to. The night just isn’t complete until the ladies are kicking of their high-heeled shoes, hitching up their dresses and grabbing a guy to whip out their fanciest choreography (or funniest, as the case may be). For great dancing, you need great music, and a great DJ – Aaron from Cut a Rug, is just the man for the job. Cut a Rug is not your average wedding DJ business. I created Cut a Rug to provide a rad DJ service that is going to make you twist & shout, get down and totally dance your socks off.

I believe that your wedding should be the party of your life. An awesome party needs awesome music, and I will work closely with you in the lead up to your event to determine what music is awesome to you. You will hear only the music you want to hear, none of the music you don’t want to hear, and I’ll even throw in a few tried and true surprises you might not have thought of.

I have over 17 years experience behind the wheels of steel and in that time I have performed at a gazillion events ranging from clubs, pubs, parties, corporate events, bars, festivals, 5 star hotels, birthdays, engagements and, of course, weddings. I’ve decided to trade in the hustle and grind of nightclubs for the warm fuzzy feeling of weddings and other celebrations. There is nothing quite like being part of a loved-up couple’s big day by providing the soundtrack to fuel non-stop dancing.

I will not tell cheesy jokes on the mic. I will not play crappy dance music (Psy Trance – no chance). I will not play Gangsta Rap during dinner (unless of course…).

I will mix it up and transition seamlessly from one track to the next. I will make you laugh. I might make you cry (in a good way!). I will make you bust a move and shake your tail feather.
